Even though your badge is needed to get into all events, it does not guarantee you access to any event if it has reached its capacity. We do not clear rooms between events. Most autograph signings are of a limited nature. Your badge does not guarantee autographs at any event. |
For Immediate Release SAN DIEGO -- The 20th annual Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards ceremony will be held Friday night, July 25 in Ballroom 20 at the Convention Center. The doors will open at 8:15PM for the gala event, and the festivities will get under way at 8:30PM. Attendance is free to all Comic-Con members — just be sure to have your badge with you. Advance seating for VIPs (nominees, sponsors, presenters) and those with pro badges will begin at 7:30PM. No-host bars will be set up in the lobby and inside the ballroom; those wishing to purchase alcoholic beverages will need to present an ID. The ceremony is expected to run until 11:30PM, when it will be followed by a reception in the foyer of Ballroom 20. The MC for the evening will once again be Bill Morrison, creative director for Bongo Comics, and the theme for the evening is “The Magic of Comics.” During the course of the evening, awards will be given out in 29 Eisner Awards categories.
