Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival 2015
The Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival (CCI-IFF) returns as part of Comic-Con International for its 16th year. The CCI-IFF features a complete schedule of films from around the world, including the United States, Canada, Spain, England, Israel, Germany, Italy, Greece, and Norway.
The Festival features the very best in genre films in seven categories: Action/Adventure, Animation, Comics-Oriented, Documentary (Pop Culture–Oriented), Horror/Suspense, Humor, and Science Fiction/Fantasy. The films have been judged by a panel of industry luminaries (see below), and awards will be given out to the best film in each category, plus an overall “Judges’ Choice” award, on Sunday in the Film Festival room. The award recipients’ films will be rescreened on Sunday following the awards ceremony.
The CCI-IFF room has moved this year!
All films will be screened at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, located on Harbor Drive, north of the Convention Center and the Marriott Marquis Hotel. The Film Festival room is Grand Ballroom D, on the lobby level of the hotel. The schedule also includes the return of the popular ongoing panel series Comic-Con Film School, plus additional film-related panels on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday during the day.
Each year the Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival (CCI-IFF) chooses a trio of judges to view the submissions. These judges, respected individuals in the fields of film and popular arts, decide which films will be screened in the festival.
Comic-Con International would like to thank Write Bros. for their sponsorship of the Film Festival by providing software prizes for the award winners, including Movie Magic Screenwriter Version 6.
