Comic-Con is proud to offer one of the most generous child badge policies in the industry. Children (age 12 and under) are free with a paying adult! Children do not need to register for a Comic-Con Member ID to receive a complimentary badge. You may register up to two children per paid adult attendee.
Children must be present to be registered for a badge and adults will be required to provide emergency contact information for any child registrant. Please visit the Registration Area when you arrive onsite for more information.
To accommodate the transition from child (age 12 and under) to junior (age 13 - 17), we have set a static date to determine who is considered a child for Comic-Con 2020. If you are age 12 or under on July 31, 2019, you do not need to buy a badge for Comic-Con 2020. You may attend as a child, with a paying adult. If you are age 13 or older on or before July 31, 2019, you must create a Comic-Con Member ID and purchase a badge to attend Comic-Con 2020.
Comic-Con 2020 Child-to-Junior Badge Validation
Did you attend Comic-Con 2019 as a child but are now a junior attendee? Children who attended Comic-Con 2019 with a paid adult attendee that are age 13 or older on or before July 31, 2019 may be eligible to participate in Comic-Con 2020 Returning Registration!
To qualify for Returning Registration, you must create a Comic-Con Member ID account. Make sure to select "Junior" as your membership type! Once you have created a new account and confirmed the email address, log in to your Member ID account, select the “Registration Info” tab, and enter the child badge number from the back of your Comic-Con 2019 child badge.
The child badge number is located on the back of the child badge, under the emergency contact phone number. All child badge numbers start with a “900” or “901” prefix. You will need to select the correct prefix from the dropdown list and enter the remaining characters in the field that follows. You do not need to input the dash.
If you have already created a junior Comic-Con Member ID account, log in to your existing account and follow the steps above.
If the child-to-junior validation link is not visible in the “Registration Info” tab, your birthdate may not be in the correct range for child-to-junior validation or you accidentally registered as an adult membership type during new account creation. If the validation link is not visible, please use the "contact us" feature in your Member ID account well in advance of the September 5, 2019 deadline to correct your membership type or birthdate.
You must validate your Comic-Con 2019 child badge number by September 5, 2019 to be eligible to participate in Comic-Con 2020 Returning Registration.
