Child Badge Policy

Comic-Con is proud to offer one of the most generous child badge policies in the industry. Children (age 12 and under) are free with a paying adult! Children do not need to register for a Comic-Con Member ID to receive a complimentary badge. You may register up to two children per paid adult attendee.
Children must be present to be registered for a badge and adults will be required to provide emergency contact information for any child registrant. Please visit the Registration Area when you arrive onsite for more information.

To accommodate the transition from child (age 12 and under) to junior (age 13 - 17), we have set a static date to determine who is considered a child for Comic-Con 2020. If you are age 12 or under on July 31, 2019, you do not need to buy a badge for Comic-Con 2020. You may attend as a child, with a paying adult. If you are age 13 or older on or before July 31, 2019, you must create a Comic-Con Member ID and purchase a badge to attend Comic-Con 2020.

Comic-Con 2020 Child-to-Junior Badge Validation

The child-to-junior validation period is now closed.

If your child attended Comic-Con 2019 with a free child badge, but would be considered a junior attendee for Comic-Con 2020, you must have validated their Comic-Con 2019 child badge number by September 5, 2019 to be eligible to participate in Comic-Con 2020 Returning Registration.

If you missed the validation deadline, they may still be eligible to participate in Comic-Con 2020 Open Registration at a later date. Please check our website frequently for more information.
