Have You Ever Looked a Iron Man in the Eye?

Well, you might get a chance to. The Comic-Con Special Edition Mask Guidelines require that approved masks be visible at all times and may not be concealed under costume headgear or masks.

All face coverings must fit properly and snugly, must secure under your chin, and fully cover your nose and mouth.

Not permitted are:

  • Face coverings that are not able to be secured under your chin, including bandanas or scarves.
  • Neck gaiters
  • Mesh face coverings
  • Face coverings that have exhalation valves
  • Damaged/torn face coverings

Again, approved face coverings must be visible at all times and may not be concealed under costume headwear/masks.

These are some of our favorites:

Whole Lotta Games

Gaming has expanded to take over several areas at Comic-Con Special Edition. Stop by our locations for boundless fun and some great surprises! You’ll find board, card, and dice games; new and classic role-playing games; and LARPS!

Activities in the Mezzanine level of the Convention Center: Pokémon (Room 14); a huge game library available for people to check out and play board and tabletop games for free (Room 15); Dungeons & Dragons games (Room 16, 10 am–6 pm today and 10 am–2 pm Sunday); Fanboy Gaming with a wide selection of Xbox, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Switch games (Room 17A); along with free play and tournaments using retro-consoles and PCs, with SD Lan (Room 17B).

At the Marriott Marquis Pacific Ballroom, there are daily Magic tournaments and demos (Rooms 14–17), Stargate SG-1 role-playing game (Rooms 18–19), plus a Pinball Arcade (Rooms 21 and 22). To avoid confusion, the Pacific Ballroom is in the Marriott Marquis hotel.

In addition to the usual rooms on the Mezzanine and the Marriott, there are Game related programming on the top level of the Convention Center: an open play Star Trek game, Artemis Spaceship Bridge Simulator (Room 6B); and on Saturday Into the Motherlands, an Afro-centric sci-fi role playing game (Room 6CF).

As a special surprise, sponsored by The Army Painter, CMON, Dust USA, and Monument Creature Caster, Comic-Con Special Edition is hosting a Paint and Take on the Mezzanine level (room 15). You can paint your very own miniature and take it home with you! Learn basic techniques, color choice, and base coating of painting miniatures. Paints, brushes, miniatures, and other supplies will be provided. Paint and Take hours are: 10:00 am–6:00 pm and Sunday: 10:00 am–4:00 pm, Sunday.
