Professional Registration Info

Comic-Con Special Edition professional badge registration will open on Tuesday, September 21, 2021!
The waiting room will open at 10:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT), and badge registration will begin at 11:00 AM PDT.  If you are a professional who is NOT DUE to re-verify, please read the instructions below for information on the registration process.
  • For the Comic-Con Special Edition COVID-19 policy, CLICK HERE. Please do not register for a badge if you are unable or unwilling to meet the policy requirements.
  • You will need your Comic-Con Member ID and last name as it appears in your Member ID account to access the waiting room.  To look up your Member ID information, CLICK HERE.

Each NOT DUE professional may register themselves and up to one complimentary guest until capacity is reached. Please keep in mind that entry into the Queue-It waiting room does not guarantee you a badge or guest badge for Comic-Con Special Edition. You can increase your chances of obtaining a professional badge and guest badge by reading all of the instructions below carefully and having your personal information ready on the day of registration. Professional and guest badges are limited and not all guests can be accommodated. The professional badge registration period does not have a predetermined close date and will close - without notification - when professional badges are no longer available.

Professional guest badges can be used to register an adult or junior guest (age 13 to 17). Children age 12 and under are free with a professional badge and do not count toward your guest limit. Child badges must be registered onsite at the Professional Registration Area in Hall H. All children must comply with the Comic-Con Special Edition COVID-19 policy.

The link to the registration waiting room will be sent to you via email at least 48 hours in advance of registration opening and will also be available in your Member ID account under the "Professionals" tab. Please enter the waiting room between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM PDT on September 21, 2021. There is no advantage in arriving at the waiting room early. The waiting room will open at 10:00 AM PDT for entry, and all professionals who enter after 11:00 AM PDT will be sent to the back of the queue.

Do not refresh while you are in the waiting room! The waiting room will automatically refresh on its own. If the green icon of a person is moving, your page is active! Refreshing your browser in the waiting room may cause technical difficulties.

If at any time you are disconnected from the waiting room, click the waiting room link in your email (or Member ID account). You will return to the same position you were assigned.

Entry to the waiting room does not guarantee you a badge or a registration session. Not all members may be selected for a registration session.

STEP 7: When your registration is complete, you will see a confirmation screen that lists your professional badge and guest badge, if any. You will also receive an order receipt email after your registration is complete. If you registered a guest, they will receive a separate order receipt email.

As the convention approaches, we will send out a barcode confirmation email that includes the barcode for you and your guest's badge. Please be sure to bring the barcode confirmation email, not the order receipt email, to the Professional Registration Area of the San Diego Convention Center to pick up your badge and guest badge. Badge pick-up hours will be listed on the barcode confirmation.

Congratulations, you’re registered for Comic-Con Special Edition!

Reminder: All professional guests must have their own unique and confirmed Comic-Con Member ID. A Member ID is free and you only need to sign up once! We encourage you to have your guest sign up for a Member ID as soon as possible. You will not be able to register a guest without knowing their last name and Member ID as it appears in their Member ID account.

Attempting to purchase badges using multiple tabs within the same browser will confuse the badge registration system and cause your transaction to fail. Only use one browser tab when trying to purchase badges.

Your browser should have JavaScript and cookies enabled to function reliably with the waiting room and badge registration system. These features are usually enabled in the default configuration of most modern web browsers. If you do not have these features enabled, the waiting room application will not function properly.

A note about mobile devices:
The badge registration system is not formatted for iPad or mobile devices. Although mobile devices have been tested and can be used to register for a badge during professional registration, Comic-Con is unable to guarantee that the registration system will behave as expected using a mobile device.

While Comic-Con has made every effort to make the badge registration experience fair for everyone, it is possible that problems outside of our control could result in the system not working as planned. The possibility exists that anti-virus, anti-spyware, and anti-malware software may aggressively block browser cookies, JavaScript, or other operations of modern web applications. It is also possible that user error, specific hardware problems, local ISP issues, or simply the extremely high level of demand beyond our control may result in your computer and/or browser not behaving as described above. While Comic-Con has done extensive testing, we make no guarantees that your efforts will result in a successful badge registration regardless of when you enter the process.
