How do I sign up for a Comic-Con Member ID?
CLICK HERE to create your Comic-Con Member ID. A Comic-Con Member ID is free and available to all adults and juniors (ages 13 - 17) with a valid email address.
How do I apply as a professional?
Due to the limited quantity of available badges, we are not accepting professional applications for Comic-Con Special Edition. Please check our website for information regarding applications for future conventions as they become available.
Who qualifies as a professional for Comic-Con?
We are pleased to provide complimentary badges to professionals who are active in the creation of comic books, graphic novels, digital/webcomics, comic strips, and animation, as well as genre-related illustrators and science fiction/fantasy authors and book editors. This includes writers, artists, pencillers, inkers, colorists, letterers, and animators. Qualifying work must be provided to indicate a professional’s involvement in these projects.
Due to the ever-increasing popularity of Comic-Con and pop culture industries, we cannot guarantee professional badges to those who fall outside of the creative roles listed above. However, all other professionals and executives who are employed in entertainment and popular culture industries (film, television, toy and apparel design, and other related industries) are welcome to apply, and we will consider each application on an individual basis. Not all professionals in these industries can be accommodated, and access to badges and guest badges may be limited.
As part of our commitment as an educational non-profit organization, Comic-Con and WonderCon welcome educators and librarians to attend as professionals. If you work in one of these industries, please submit an application prior to the deadline.
All professional badges are limited, and not all applicants who meet the guidelines can be accommodated. Professional verification and approval is ultimately at the discretion of Comic-Con.
Do I need to register for my professional badge as soon as online registration opens?
Due to continuing COVID-19 restrictions, there will be a limited number of professional badges and guest badges available for Comic-Con Special Edition. Unlike past conventions, professional and professional guest badges are not guaranteed and will be available until capacity is reached. Please CLICK HERE for additional information regarding Comic-Con Special Edition professional badge registration.
How much do professional badges cost for Comic-Con Special Edition, and will I be eligible to register guest badges?
Comic-Con Special Edition professional badges and guest badges are complimentary. Each professional may have the opportunity to register for one complimentary guest (age 13 and up) until guest capacity is reached. Guest badges are limited, and not all guests can be accommodated. Be sure to register your guest at the same time you register for your own badge, as guest badges will not be available at a later date.
Does my guest need their own Comic-Con Member ID?
Yes! All professional guests are required to have their own confirmed Comic-Con Member ID account. You must enter your guest’s Member ID and last name during online registration. You will not have the opportunity to go back in and enter it at a later date. Make sure your guest signs up for their own Member ID well in advance of professional online registration.
Will my badges be mailed to me?
No, all professional and guest badges must be picked up in Hall H of the San Diego Convention Center. Badge pick-up hours and details will be sent to you at a later date. We encourage you to avoid waiting in line on-site and take advantage of our early pick-up hours on Tuesday, November 23, and Wednesday, November 24.
NOTE: You must pick up all badges associated with your order, including your guest badge (if any), using your barcode confirmation email. Guests will not be allowed to pick up their own badges. There will be no on-site "will call" for professional guests.
Can I see programming or visit the exhibit hall if I pick up my badge on Tuesday or Wednesday?
No, Tuesday and Wednesday are for badge pick-up only; the convention is not open on these days.
Can I bring my child with me?
Children age 12 and under are free and must be registered on-site. All children must still provide a negative COVID test to attend, per our COVID-19 policy.
How do I change the name of my registered professional guest?
If guest name corrections are needed, please contact proreg@comic-con.org. Be sure to include your name, your Comic-Con Member ID, and the name and Member ID of the guest that you need to change. The deadline for guest corrections is November 12, 2021. No corrections will be accepted after this date.
What happens if I lose my badge?
A replacement badge for a professional or a professional guest will be charged the full attendee price of $150. We encourage you to keep your badge safe and secure at all times.
How are you ensuring the safety of myself and my guests from COVID-19?
Comic-Con is dedicated to the safety of all attendees, vendors, and staff. Please CLICK HERE for additional information on our COVID-19 policy and requirements. We also encourage you to read the full Terms and Conditions of attending the show.
Will on-site registration be available?
There will be NO on-site registration for professionals or guest badges.
I registered a professional badge for Comic-Con 2020 and would like it to be rolled over to Comic-Con 2022. Will Comic-Con Special Edition registration affect this?
No, the registration for this show is separate and independent of any past or future registration. If you do not wish to attend Comic-Con Special Edition, you do not need to take any action at this time. Badges registered for Comic-Con 2020 will automatically be rolled over to Comic-Con 2022, unless the badge holder requests otherwise.
