Virtual Panel: Drawing Childhood Memories

Virtual Panel: Drawing Childhood Memories

Grab your art supplies! In this interactive program, comics creators and educators Sharon Lee De La Cruz and Breena Nuñez discuss how they both use childhood memories in their comics works as they lead viewers in creating a four-panel comic.

Sharon Lee De La Cruz is a multi-disciplinary artist, educator, and activist who is passionate about STEM education, accessible visual narrative, and social justice. A graduate from Cooper Union and NYU-ITP, Sharon's participation in the Tin House Summer Workshop led to the creation of her first graphic novel memoir, I’m a Wild Seed (Street Noise, April 2021). Sharon is based in New York City.

Breena Nuñez is a Bay Area cartoonist, educator, and the other half of the newly launched small press, Laneha House.
