002: Our Spidey Senses are Tingling at the Museum!

Come celebrate the 60th anniversary of Marvel’s legendary Spider-Man at the Comic-Con Museum on Friday, July 1, centrally located in Balboa Park (2131 Pan American Plaza, San Diego, CA, 92101). Available to the general public (no Comic-Con badge required), the museum caters to the interests and passions of fans of all ages.

Our permanent museum helps capture the magic of Comic-Con 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our first-ever exclusive exhibit will feature everyone's favorite friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. The interactive experience “Marvel's Spider-Man: Beyond Amazing - The Exhibition” invites visitors of all ages to explore the web-slinger’s storied history through original comic art, movie props, costumes, and many priceless original artifacts.

Audiences can immerse themselves in this expansive exhibit, learning about the many creators who have contributed to the Spider-Man mythos; posing with life-size character sculptures; encountering some of Spidey’s fiercest foes through cutting-edge digital elements; and celebrating the cultural impact of Peter Parker and his cast of supporting characters. Visitors may also visit the Marvel gift shop, which is always stocked with exclusive exhibition merchandise, including but not limited to t-shirts, mugs, and magnets.

Night at the Comic-Con Museum Honoring Spider-Man

On the evening of July 20, the Museum will host Night at the Comic-Con Museum, a special event celebrating the induction of Spider-Man into the Comic-Con Museum Character Hall of Fame. With the generous support and participation of Marvel Entertainment, the event will celebrate the 60th anniversary of Spider-Man and his rich contribution to the popular arts. Tickets for Night at the Comic-Con Museum can be purchased at comic-con.museum/night.
