COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL REGISTRATION UPDATE

Comic-Con International Registration Update

Hello. My name is Professor Toucan. Prepare to be teched.

Below is a list of prompts to ensure your tech is ready to go for the sale. As a reminder, Comic-Con 2017 Open Registration begins on April 8. The Expo Logic waiting room opens for registration code entry at 8:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT), badges go on sale shortly after 9:00 AM PDT.

Are you using a compatible browser and device?

The Expo Logic badge registration system has been tested on the following browsers. Comic-Con International cannot guarantee your results should you use a browser not listed here:

Chrome: Any Version
Safari: Any Version
Firefox: Any Version
EDGE: Any Version
Internet Explorer: Version 8 or Later

Make sure you are using a laptop or computer during Open Registration. The Expo Logic badge registration system is not formatted for iPads, tablets, or other mobile devices. Although mobile devices have been tested and can be used to purchase a badge during Open Registration, Comic-Con cannot guarantee the registration system will behave as expected.

Avoid using multiple tabs, private browsing, or incognito applications. Doing so can cause your transaction to fail!

Do you have JavaScript and cookies enabled?

Your browser should have JavaScript and cookies enabled. While these features are usually the default configuration for most modern web browsers, it is recommended that you double-check.

Did you check your power-saving settings?

It is recommended to check your computer’s power-saving settings prior to Open Registration. Doing so can prevent your computer from powering down or entering sleep mode.

Vizzini sincerely means it … anybody want a peanut?

Did you know not to use the “back” and “refresh” buttons during Open Registration?

The Expo Logic waiting room automatically refreshes every 120 seconds. There is no need to use the “refresh” button and doing so can cause erratic system behavior.

If you are randomly selected for a registration session, do not use the “back” or “refresh” button. The system could potentially “error out” and send your badges back to inventory.

TLDR; No back button, No refresh! Just don't do it.

Is there a way to register a family of four, without multiple computers?

Your registration code is the key to the gate. Using all four registration codes will increase your chances of being selected. For a family of four with four unique registration codes, simply open four separate browsers on your device and enter one registration code per browser. For example:

1. Open Safari (or another browser of choice). Click the link in your email to access the Expo Logic waiting room. Enter your first registration code where indicated and authorize that browser to enter the waiting room.

2. Open Google Chrome on the same computer. Repeat the steps above and enter your second registration code to authorize this browser to enter the waiting room.

3. Open Firefox on the same computer and repeat the steps above for the third registration code.

4. Open Edge or Internet Explorer on the same computer and repeat the steps above for the fourth registration code.

Make sure to keep track of which registration code belongs to each browser! If you are accidentally removed from the waiting room, you must use the registration code you logged in with to return. Please keep in mind that not all eligible attendees will be selected for a registration session. It is possible that none of your waiting room entries will be selected.

For your convenience, your personal registration code and link to the Expo Logic waiting room is on the "Registration Info" tab in your Comic-Con Member ID account.

Is there a way to gain an advantage in the Expo Logic waiting room?

Make sure you have checked your browser settings and have all your personal information ready to go on April 8. This includes your Comic-Con Member ID, personal registration code, and payment information. If you plan to purchase for friends or family, be sure to have their confirmed Member ID and last name.

In the unlikely event that you experience an issue during a registration session, please be sure to take screenshots!

If you are accidentally removed from the waiting room at any time, simply return to the registratoon code entry page and log back in. This will not impact your chances of being selected for a registration session. If you are being disconnected from the waiting room every 90 - 120 seconds, your browser is not compatible or you need to adjust your settings. Please make sure you check your browser settings (above) well before Open Registration begins.

You can increase your chances of obtaining a badge by working in a buying group. Make sure you personally know or trust the members of your buying group. Comic-Con is unable to intervene on your behalf if someone does not pay you for their badge. Badges will be shipped to the attendee directly.
