WonderCon Anaheim Professionals

The WonderCon Anaheim 2020 professional application period is now OPEN! There will be no onsite professional registration. Applications and verification materials are due by January 16, 2020.

All professional applicants fall into one of two categories: First-Time Applicant or Returning Professional.

To determine your category, log in to your Comic-Con Member ID account and click the "Professionals" tab. If you are a returning professional, your member class will be “Professional” and your professional verification status will be “DUE” or “NOT DUE”. If you are a first-time professional applicant, no "Professionals" tab will be displayed.

If your professional verification status is NOT DUE, no action is required at this time. Information regarding online professional badge registration will be sent out in early 2020.
If your professional verification status is DUE or you are applying as a FIRST-TIME PROFESSIONAL, the deadline to submit an application and verification materials is January 16, 2020. Please download and carefully read the "WonderCon Anaheim 2020 Information and Application for Professionals" PDF.

NOTE: If your professional verification status is DUE, but you have already submitted an application for Comic-Con 2020, you do not need to submit an additional application for WonderCon Anaheim. Your previous application will be considered for both shows.

To receive important information from our professional registration department, make sure you have not accidentally opted out of email correspondence.  To review your opt-outs, log in to your Comic-Con Member ID account and select the “OPT-OUTS” option on the "My Account" tab. Make sure you have not checked the “Email Opt-Out” box. If you have selected to opt out of email notifications from Comic-Con, you will not be notified of important registration updates.

Children (age 12 and under) are free with a professional badge and do not count toward your guest limit. Child badges must be registered onsite at the WonderCon Anaheim Professional Registration Area. Please note that the child must be present to receive a badge. There will be no onsite registration for adult professionals or guests.

For additional information, please review the WonderCon Anaheim Professional FAQ.

Professional Qualifications

COMIC-CON AND WONDERCON ANAHEIM is pleased to provide complimentary badges to professionals who are active in the creation of comic books, graphic novels, digital/webcomics, comic strips and animation, as well as genre-related illustrators and science fiction/fantasy authors and book editors. This includes: writers, artists, pencillers, inkers, colorists, letterers, and animators. Qualifying work must be provided to indicate a professional’s involvement in these projects.

Due to the ever-increasing popularity of Comic-Con and pop culture industries, we cannot guarantee professional badges to those who fall outside of the creative roles listed above. However, all other professionals and executives who are employed in entertainment and popular culture industries (film, television, toy and apparel design, and other related industries) are welcome to apply, and we will consider each application on an individual basis. Not all professionals in these industries can be accommodated, and access to badges and guest badges may be limited.

As part of our commitment as an educational non-profit organization, Comic-Con and WonderCon Anaheim welcomes educators and librarians to apply as professionals.
