WonderCon Professionals

WonderCon 2022 professional badge registration is now OPEN! There will be no on-site professional registration. Online professional badge registration will close on March 28, 2022, or when capacity is reached, whichever occurs first.

If your professional verification status is NOT DUE: Please visit our Professional Registration Information page for detailed instructions on how to register. Be sure to register your guest badge(s) at the same time you register your own badge. You cannot return to the online registration system at a later date to request guest badges.

To receive important information from our professional registration department, make sure you have not opted out of email correspondence. To review your opt-outs, log in to your Comic-Con Member ID account and select the “My Account Information” option on the left side of your screen. Make sure you have checked the “OptInAdvertising” box. If you have selected to opt out of email notifications from WonderCon, you will not be notified of important registration updates.

Each verified professional may request a complimentary WonderCon 2022 badge for up to two guests, until capacity is reached. All professional guests must have their own valid and confirmed Member ID. To create a Member ID, click here. Guest badges are limited, and not all guests can be accommodated.

Children (age 12 and under) are free with a professional badge and do not count toward your guest limit. Child badges must be registered on-site at the Professional Registration Area in Hall D. Please note that the child must be present to receive a badge. There will be no on-site registration for adult professionals or guests.

For additional information, please review the WonderCon Professional FAQ.

Professional Qualifications

COMIC-CON AND WONDERCON is pleased to provide complimentary badges to professionals who are active in the creation of comic books, graphic novels, digital/webcomics, comic strips and animation, as well as genre-related illustrators and science fiction/fantasy authors and book editors. This includes: writers, artists, pencillers, inkers, colorists, letterers, and animators. Qualifying work must be provided to indicate a professional’s involvement in these projects.

Due to the ever-increasing popularity of Comic-Con and pop culture industries, we cannot guarantee professional badges to those who fall outside of the creative roles listed above. However, all other professionals and executives who are employed in entertainment and popular culture industries (film, television, toy and apparel design, and other related industries) are welcome to apply, and we will consider each application on an individual basis. Not all professionals in these industries can be accommodated, and access to badges and guest badges may be limited.

As part of our commitment as an educational non-profit organization, Comic-Con and WonderCon welcome educators and librarians to apply as professionals.

WonderCon Professional Terms & Conditions

The only way to apply for a professional badge is to submit an application and verification material and be approved by Comic-Con International before the deadline date. Professionals must provide verification material demonstrating their continued qualifying work in the industry every three years.

Professional verification and approval is ultimately at the discretion of Comic-Con International.

A WonderCon professional badge is good for entry to all of the events held at WonderCon (space permitting). The WonderCon professional badge, however, does not allow for early entry into the Exhibit Hall, programming rooms, events, or guaranteed seating. Please keep in mind that professional registration is a courtesy and your WonderCon professional badge is non-transferable. You may not transfer or sell your WonderCon professional badge. A professional badge has no monetary value and you are not entitled to a refund of any amount for your complimentary professional badge. Duplicate badges of any type are not allowed. Lost or undelivered badges may be replaced on-site for a nominal fee at the Professional Registration Desk.

As always, the issuance of a professional badge is at the sole discretion of Comic-Con International/WonderCon.
